Only last week the world’s fastest bullet train began testing in Japan. Named the Shinkansen ALFA-X the train is said to be capable of 400 kilometers per hour, a whopping 249mph! Expected to begin production in 2030 it will become the world’s fastest train carrying its passengers at a steady speed of 360kph, or 224mph.

While traveling to far-away countries, you want to make sure to explore not only local attractions, but also unusual locations. In Thailand, for example, one unremarkable establishment suddenly transformed into a cute little cafe for animal lovers that you will never want to leave.

Whether it be good or bad, some people have had an impact on the world and how we see it today. It’s almost impossible to imagine our current world without taking into account what the actions of these few individuals have done to shape it.

Civilizations come and go. A war, famine, or natural disaster can wipe out entire cities, countries, or even empires. However, in the midst of the chaos of history there are a few cities that have managed to persevere and maintain their status as central hubs for trade, government, and civilization in general.

There are four places named Chota Char Dham (the four abodes), which together form a small circuit of pilgrimage site located high in the Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand. These places used to be very hard to reach as you had to walk through mountains and hilly trails for days, but things changed after 1962 when roads were built for better connection, making it possible for all kinds of people to visit Chota Char Dham.
